Author's Bio

Frances Alberti

Frances Alberti (Fran) is a native of New Orleans. She is one of 5 children raised by their mother in a single parent home.  Fran has worked as an Administrative Assistant in the oil industry for over 25 years.  She currently resides in Houston, Texas.

In August 2005 Hurricane Katrina changed the lives of thousands.  Fran’s brother Bobby and his dog Rover were one of the many stories of courage, love, loss and triumph in the face of a killer storm.

Faced with the overwhelming desire to help her brother, there was no quit in Fran.  She was driven to write her first children’s book for the sole purpose of raising money to help her brother Bobby re-build his home lost in Hurricane Katrina and to help pay for medical bills.

With FEMA money and proceeds from the book Bobby and Rover should be back in their home by March of 2008.
