Sweet N' Savory Summer Pupsicles

It’s getting hot where we live, which means it’s time to make some summer treats! Check out our two favorite pupsicle recipes for dogs who have a sweet tooth and their savory-snacking companions.

Orange Dreamsicle
Oranges are an excellent and safe source of Vitamin C for your pooch, and the apples and carrots in this dog dreamsicle are also full of Vitamin A!

2 oranges, seeds removed
1 apple
2 carrots

Throw the ingredients into a blender until they’re blended to a smooth consistency, then pour the mixture into an ice cube tray to freeze. Once frozen, give these mini popsicles to your dog as a treat! Make sure not to feed your dog too many at a time though—moderation is key!

Salty Dogsicle
While this popsicle may sound less than appealing to you and me, dogs absolutely love it! The yogurt in this treat is rich in probiotics and great for pups who need an extra boost in calcium.

1 cup non-fat, plain yogurt
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup bacon bits
1/2 cup cooked chicken, finely chopped

Put the yogurt and chicken broth in a blender and mix well. Pour the mixture into a bowl and stir in bacon bits and cooked chicken, then pour mixture into an ice cube tray to freeze. Once frozen, give to your dog as a treat!
