San Diego Humane Society & SPCA join the pack

Today is another great day to be a dog in San Diego! The San Diego Humane Society & SPCA and Finding Rover have official joined forces to help re-home dogs. Since 1880, San Diego Humane Society has been promoting pet welfare and saving lives through rescue and adoption. Today, they go high-tech! Every major shelter in San Diego County now utilizes Finding Rover’s revolutionary facial recognition technology. What does this mean for pet lovers?! Let's get into the details:

Finding Rover aims to bring dogs home and boost adoption rates by making it easier than ever for San Diegans to locate lost dogs and find adoptable dogs. From the Finding Rover app and website, people can now view all three of the San Diego Humane Society’s locations for their lost dog. Dogs available for adoption can also be found on Finding Rover by viewing any of the three campuses’ “packs,” or profiles.

Instead of driving from Oceanside to Escondido to the San Diego central campus, you can now find your dog with just a few clicks on the Finding Rover app or website. Every dog that is in the San Diego Humane Society’s system now gets synchronized with Finding Rover in real time, so you can find your dog quickly, safely, and efficiently.

The Finding Rover facial recognition technology is 98% accurate in matching lost and found dog posters. Registering your dogs on Finding Rover is now more important than ever because when the unexpected happens, you can be sure your dogs are protected. In addition to pet protection, adoptable pets are now given a new lease on life thanks to Finding Rover and San Diego Humane Society & SPCA working together.
