Doggy Trail Mix Recipe

Have a bunch of leftover meat or doggy safe foods from dinner? Turn it into trail mix for your pooch! This canine treat is incredibly easy to make, retains all its nutrients, and is absolutely delicious. Check out our recipe for making some doggy trail mix out of your leftovers:

Ingredients
-Meat (if seasoned, rinse off first), cut into small pieces
-Apples, carrots, and other dog-safe fruits (no grapes, though!)
-Green beans, potatoes, and other veggies (except for onions and garlic)

Cut up all your ingredients into treat-sized chunks or smaller kibble bits. Use either a dehydrator or toss your ingredients onto a baking sheet, putting it in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 6 hours. After 6 hours, cut individual pieces in half to check if they are thoroughly dried—if not, continue drying and checking until the pieces are dried to the center.

This yummy trail mix is especially great as a training reward or as a treat during a long hike for your pooch. Enjoy!
