What is Clear the Shelters?

Clear the Shelters is a television event hosted by local NBC News affiliates. This event is dedicated to bringing awareness to homeless pets across the U.S. Local shelter that choose to participate in this event have cut pet adoption fees in hopes to adopt-out more pets. At most participating shelters, NBC News cameras will be documenting the adoptions to be aired locally. Who knows, maybe you and your new family member will be the big news story of the day!

How does Finding Rover fit?

The shelters listed above are Finding Rover Partners; which means every dog in their care has been pre-registered on Finding Rover. When you adopt a dog from any Finding Rover Partner, you can complete registration by creating a Finding Rover profile with the email you provided to the shelter. Your new dog will automatically be transferred to you and protected with facial recognition on Finding Rover.

Please visit your local shelter soon, and adopt your new family member. Shelters nationwide are compacted, and need your help. Please consider adoption. Here at Finding Rover, we believe every day should be Clear the Shelters day!

Contact your local shelter for more details on how you can help homeless pets today.
